How many versions of you are out there?

Double life? Triple life? How many versions of you are out there?

There are two major theories of what a parallel universe could look like, and they are simply put opposites of each other.

On one side we have a theory that states multiverses have completely different laws of physics, elements and so on. We cannot even begin to fathom what these universes look like on the inside.
Quite understandably, you won’t encounter anything that even closely resembles “you” out there.

The other theory is more promising. Here we can state these alternate universes are very closely related to our own, with practucally the same laws of physics and elements, just with slight adjustments. If we consider the possibility that the course of an alternate universe is so similar to our own, there could be an alternate Earth with an alternate “you”. Whether this version of you is actually you or not can be debated, but personally I think it’s more of a twin of yours.

Where this question becomes really interesting is the frequency of these alternate universes. Were there to be only a dozen of universe, each very similar to our own, there would only be a dozen “you”’s out there.
But if the existence of multiple universes is possible, it’s easy to theorize countless of others could exist. Just as there are almost countless of planets and stars. We can even go as far as stating there are an infinite amount of universes.

If this were to be true, there would be an infinite amount of “you”. You can have universes where your life has completely different outcomes where you become a famous movie star for example (if this isn’t the case already) or you can universes as identical as our own besides the breakfast you had this morning.
